Product Details
Extruded conductive silicone seals are polymer materials made by uniformly dispersing conductive fillers in a highly resilient silicone rubber matrix and extruding the compound. Filler types include pure silver, silver-plated aluminum, glass, copper, and nickel, and nickel-plated graphite and aluminum. The fillers provide stable conductivity and shielding. The silicone provides resilience, mechanical strength, resistance to mold and salt-spray corrosion, a wide operating temperature range, and long service life.
Silver-plated aluminum (Ag/Al): a basic gasket material suitable for demanding climates, with good corrosion and electromagnetic pulse resistance, high shielding effectiveness, electrochemical compatibility with aluminum housings, good salt-spray resistance with low galvanic corrosion, and low weight.
Silver-plated copper (Ag/Cu): good conductivity and EMP resistance for waveguide and connector gaskets.
Silver (Ag): resists mold and is suitable where microbial growth must be inhibited.
Nickel-plated graphite (Ni/C): lower cost, good electrochemical compatibility with aluminum, high conductivity, broadband shielding, and environmental sealing for general applications.
