Thermal Management

Heat conduction is heat transfer between contacting objects at different temperatures, or between regions of the same object, without relative macroscopic motion.

A material's ability to conduct heat is its thermal conductivity. Heat transfer within dense solids and stationary fluids occurs through conduction.

Conduction also contributes to heat transfer in moving fluids.

Thermal management (Figure 1)

We combine methyl vinyl silicone rubber with thermally conductive ceramic fillers in controlled proportions to make thermal silicone materials in various shapes for equipment with demanding heat-transfer requirements.

The materials provide good thermal conductivity and gap filling, low thermal resistance, high softness, and natural tack on both sides.

They fill air gaps between heat-generating components and heat sinks or metal housings to improve heat transfer and dissipation.
